JamToday joining Code Week
Europe Code Week is a grassroots initiative which aims to bring coding and digital literacy to everybody in a fun and engaging way. From 10-18 of October, Code Week stimulates the organization of events where people can learn more about code and creating digital content.
JamToday supports the goals of Code Week fully and gets involved by organizing the Make-A-Game-Day for kids on october 17th.
Together with experienced game designers, kids make their first game in the place where some of the most fun indie games are made, the Dutch Game Garden in Utrecht. During the day they will be introduced to all the skills involved when making games: programming, game design, drawing, sound design and making music. Through collaboration with others and professional guidance, the kids will experience how they can make their own game in one day.
The event is targeted towards kids between 12 and 15 years old and will be held in Dutch.
