Business Game Jam
The day kicked-off with enthusiastic student teams ready to get acquainted to the more entrepreneurial side of the games industry. Teams took part in a business model marketing Game jam where no additional development was needed. This allowed the nine teams to think about what is needed to sell their game prototype created during the 2015 applied game jam. The game jam included 5 challenges: the business model canvas, logo, poem, product box, and a pitch.
Mentors from the industry such as Jose Manuel Guimera (Telefonica), Richard Hebert (ENTI_UB) and Isidro Navarro (LABS4GLASS and INarquitectura) were present during the day to provide feedback and support to each student group. All challenges were paper-based, a fun contrast from the digital mode used in previous jams. At the end of the day, enthusiastic teams pitched their brand and new creations at the majestic grounds of Ensad University. An awards ceremony was an appropriate finish to the first day. The winners of the business model and marketing game jam were the team from Laurea, Finland.
