JamToday at the Games For Change Europe Festival
On 16 June, Pierre Mersch (HKU) and Stéphanie Mader (CNAM) presented the JamToday network at Games for Change Europe Festival.
Games for Change is a worldwide initiative that aims at facilitating the creation and distribution of social impact games that serve as critical tools in humanitarian and educational efforts. Since 2013 Games for Change Europe helps support and increase the growing interest in social impact games throughout Europe.
In a session on the “The Art & Culture of Game Jamming” the we explained how the JamToday network aims at supporting the creation of meaningful game prototypes. We presented the JamToday toolkit and how game-jams for applied games can a good way to engage regional stakeholders. JamToday also presented the first results of the game-jams that took place in Paris earlier this month.
It has been a great opportunity for JamToday to meet people for future collaboration and hear about other initiatives in the field of applied games to address societal challenges.
