TRANSMANGO is a research project on food security, and more specifically, the transition to a more sustainable food chain: from production to consumption and everything in between and after that. The project looks at the impact of consumer behaviour on food security. How do we recognize the changing needs of consumers in such a way that these needs are met? But not only that: we also look at policies. What laws, rules or management ensure that the entire food chain is not disruptive while meeting the changing consumer needs? Finally, we look at the motivation of consumers and businesses to seek out more sustainable food strategies. What are your customers willing to do for sustainability, and what not, and why? When should your company invest in sustainable food, and when not, and why? In an intense 4 day game jam, over 90 (international) students will work as young professionals. They will come into contact with different creative interventions and interventions by experts in the field of food and nutrition, which can lead to new and exciting ideas. In this case, these are ideas which will contribute to new models of a food chain and are responsive to the changing needs for sustainable food.
