With around 3800 students, the University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU) is one of the largest training institutes for culture and the arts in the Netherlands and Europe. HKU have pioneered the development of Applied Game Design (AGD) in the Netherlands and beyond. HKU’s Game Design & Development education has played an important role in the growth of the Dutch industry. A recent study conducted by iMMovator (2010) shows that 50% of the best known Dutch game companies were started by HKU alumni.

Located in the centre of Utrecht, the Dutch Game Garden (DGG) accelerates the growth of the Dutch games industry by providing wide-ranging support and facilities for students, start-ups and established game companies. This is achieved in part through ongoing projects: the Business Center provides flexible and affordable housing at top notch locations for existing and growing companies; the Game Company Incubator helps young entrepreneurs set up and develop their own business; our Developers’ Club program stimulates entrepreneurship among students of various game-related study programs.

MFG Baden-Württemberg is a regional public innovation agency for ICT and media based in the South-West of Germany. Its mission is to support and foster the IT and media sector, as well as related fields within the region of Baden-Württemberg. EUROPEAN NETWORK OF LIVING LABS
The European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) is the international federation of benchmarked Living Labs in Europe and worldwide. Founded in November 2006 under the auspices of the Finnish European Presidency, the network has grown in ‘waves’ up to this day. To this date, 6 Waves have been launched; resulting in 300 accepted Living Labs. The ENoLL international non-profit association, as the legal representative entity of the network, is headquartered in Brussels, at the heart of Europe.

INNOVAZIONE NELLE ICT S.C.A.R.L.
CSP is an ICT research centre, recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, aimed at technology development and transfer, through a strong synergy with academia, business and local government. Over the last 12 years, CSP has been one of the main ICT research centers in Piemonte, transferring knowledge, technological prototypes and organizational models, by means of the Living Labs, to local SMES, PAs, communities and supporting Regione Piemonte ICT policy. In the e-learning sector, since 1998, CSP has been involved in initiatives to promote ICT and Media in education, with a special focus on schools and universities, both in EU projects and in regional initiatives.

At the ZHdK, the degree program in Game Design offers comprehensive training in video game design while dealing with various research and development projects in serious games at the Institute for Design Research (IDE).

The Cnam is a very unique French institution of long-standing and deep scientific tradition. In 2011-2012, the Cnam had about 100,000 students enrolled in training. The Graduate School of Video Games and Interactive Digital Media (ENJMIN www.enjmin.fr) is located in Angoulême, in the south west of France. It is one of the most renowned institutions in the field. It delivers a Master’s degree with both professional and research opportunities and a post Master degree.

COLLEGE OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES
ENTI is the new School of Videogames within the city of Barcelona. It is proud to offer the first undergraduate degree in Applied+Serious+Video “Games” within the city and the community of Catalonia. It will be the 3rd Videogame degree in Spain. ENTI’s approach is based on the inner laws of Edutainment and Playful Learning where the student acts and plays, discovers and does while implementing, not only technology but aesthetics, storytelling and game mechanics.
Gemeente Utrecht (City of Utrecht) is, with its 315.000 inhabitants, the 4th largest city of the Netherlands. The city has a strong creative sector and a strong governmental economic policy focused on business start-ups. Therefore, Utrecht is an important capital for the gaming industry. GG&GD is the municipal medical & health care organization (GG&GD) that develops and implements Utrecht’s health care policy. Main objective are residents of Utrecht that feel healthy, be healthy and stay healthy. Responsibility and reinforcement of self-reliance are important starting points.
The Institute Integriert Studieren was founded in 1991. The main objectives are supporting students with disabilities at the university and research and teaching in the fields of assistive technology for people with disabilities, eAccessibility and social components. The institute has been involved in more than 75 national and international projects, many of them related to access to HCI and non classical interfaces.

ARC Fund is the premier Bulgarian ICT and innovation policy and research institute, ARC Consulting EOOD has coordinated for ten years the activities of the Innovation Relay Centre in Sofia and is currently the coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network. KATHOLIEKE HOGESCHOOL LIMBURG VZM
The KHLim (Limburg Catholic University College) is an institution for higher education in Flanders, Belgium. The KHLim is part of the reputed University Association Catholic University Leuven, which brings together 13 institutions of higher education in Flanders. The KHLim has a turnover of 5.6 Mio. Euro and was involved in a variety of European projects. The research group Play&Game of the KHLim MAD-faculty will carry out the activities. The Play&Game research group believes in the potential of games for societal sectors (i.e. educational games, persuasive games, games for change, …) other than the pure entertainment industry. The group’s research expertise is mainly built around game design and game art.

Citilab is a centre for social and digital innovation in Cornella de Llobregat, Barcelona. Exploits and spreads the digital impact on creative thinking, design and innovation emerging from digital culture. Citilab is a mix between a training centre, a research centre and an incubator for business and social initiatives. This project started with the idea that digital technologies, specifically Internet, are a way of innovation much more focused on citizens. Since this project was born in 1997 and opened his physical site ten years later on November 23th, Citilab has been promoting activities as a centre for civic innovation, spreading the Knowledge Society.
ATiT is an audiovisual and information technologies company specialising in the integration of Information and Communications Technologies in the Educational and Cultural sectors. Based in Belgium where it is registered as a bvba since 1999, ATiT operates with a small full-time staff and a network of associates in different parts of Europe. ATiT staff offers independent project management, technology integration and consultancy services to a variety of clients, partners, companies and agencies like the EC and the ESA as well as global clients like the World Bank.
STOCKPORT METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
Stockport Council are a medium sized municipality in the UK’s north-west which has around 300,000 residents. The Council has responsibility for services for both children and young people as well as adults over the age of 18. This is carried out in 2 linked departments. The Adult Social Care Department aims to help people aged 18 years or over to continue to live as independently as possible within the community. The Children and Young Peoples Department central focus is to drive forward the strategy and workforce changes necessary to ensure services are centred on children and young people’s needs, and secure improved outcomes for all.
